Barbie Doll


Third class today, same place Loveliana Workshop. I finally decorate Barbie Cake on my own. Yippieee… My dream comes true. Belajar deco hari ni, choc cake and fondant for gown.. Deco tepi2 tu, guna bc. Menggigil gaks nk guna fondant besar2 nih, selalu on cupcakes ajer, pas2 rasa nk juling deco bc, coz kecik sangat size yg teacher suruh buat... Apa2 pon tabahkan ajerlahh.. Anyway, end of the class, inilah hasilnya... I am so satisfied with my 1st attempt.

Flower Basket

Hari ni, second time attend deco-class kat Loveliana Workshop, Bangi. Selama ni buat ala2 hantam ajerlah, tapi hari ni belajar the correct technique. Hasilnya.. wah! I am so impressed myself. Happy nyerr...

Royal icing recipe

Ingredients:
225g icing sugar,
sifted 1 egg white
A few drops of rose essence
A few drops of lemon juice

Method:
Beat egg white until it is stiff and frothy.
Add icing sugar, a little at a time and continue beating.
Finally add the rose essence and lemon juice and beat
the mixture until stiff peaks are formed. Use the icing
immediately, otherwise, cover it with a damp cloth to
prevent crusting.
Color the icing as you wish.

Butter icing recipe

Ingredients:
120g butter
300g icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Food coloring (optional)

Method:
Sieve icing sugar to break lumps. In a separate bowl,
cream butter till soft. Add icing sugar, a little at a time,
beating continuously. Add vanilla and continue beating
until icing is creamy and fluffy.
Color as you wish.

Variation:
Chocolate butter icing: Add 3 – 4 tsp of sifted
cocoa powder to the icing above and beat until the cocoa
powder is well blended in the icing.

Types of Icings

Butter cream
Light and creamy icing
used for all kinds of cakes and pastries.
May be cooked or uncooked.
French Butter Cream
Similar to Butter cream,
but whole eggs, extra yolks, and sugar syrup.
Confectioner's Frosting
An uncooked butter cream that powdered
sugar, unsalted butter, milk, and flavoring.
Ganache
A liquid glaze that is poured
rather than spread over a cake or pastry.
Royal Icing
Used for traditional wedding
cakes and piping. Dries to a smooth glossy surface.
Whipped Cream Frosting
Uses whipping cream for a light
filling or frosting. Can be flavored in chocolate,
strawberry, or other flavors
A simple recipe using cream cheese
and powdered sugar.
Can be flavored.
Lemon is the most popular.

Jen Hui's Bday

I am actually missed the boat. JenHui’s actual birth date was on 12th March 2009…. Well, better than never, we celeb. within our small team on the next day.. I prepared a little choc cake (6”) and covered with ganache.
Ini pulak rakan2 seperjuangan ambik kesempatan posing... Where am I? Di sebalik tabir camera..hehehe

Don’t be surprised.. This is definitely not from my little kitchen... But juz want to share that besides the “ceramah” we also really enjoyed “makan-makan time, share ramai2 makan dlm dulang” meriah betul sambutan Maulidur Rasul tis yr, terkenang plak zaman2 sekolah agama dulu..
